چکیده

Abstract Non-productive auxiliary processes affect the single part and small badge production of milling tools. The key process grinding is inevitably linked to conditioning process. time demand those steps decreases overall productivity manufacturing However, today machine operator decides on cycles individually by use experience. Until today, there no objective data based approach available that supports initiation these or adaption itself in order improve its efficiency. For this purpose, a process-related topography evaluation method wheel surface developed within study. measurement, an optical laser triangulation used. measurement system implemented into common tool tool. In addition, characteristic values are defined show wear conditions Moreover, summarized database conditions. can save dressing resources, times minimizes scrap parts. adaptation targeted launch be enabled. novel characteristic-based creates opportunity enhance life wheels up 30% without losing productivity.

Assessment of Working Conditions of Grinding Wheels in the Grinding Process of Hard-To-Cut Materials

Abstract This study here by presents a method for comparative assessment of grinding wheels during the grinding process of hard-to-cut materials. The method in question consists of carrying out a short grinding cut in plunge grinding kinematics using grinding wheels with a customized macro-geometry upon the active surface. The work presents examples of this method’s efficacy when applied to the...

In-Process Electrical Dressing of Metal-Bonded Diamond Grinding Wheels

A new development of hybrid in-process electrical dressing of metal-bonded diamond grinding wheels is proposed in this paper. The electrical dressing method is used for overcoming the limitations of the conventional dressing methods available in relation to a super-abrasive wheel because of the hardness of its abrasive grains and the durability of its bonding material. The proposed hybrid in-pr...

THE ATTRITIOUS AND FRACTURE WEAR OF GRINDING WHEELS by Stephen Malkin Submitted to the Department of Mechanical Engineering February 1968, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Science A detailed investigation is made of the nature and extent-of grinding wheel wear in finish grinding. The wear is broadly classified as either attritious or fracture wear. Attritio...

Study on Experimental and Modeling of Rotary Roll Dressing of Grinding Wheels

Two of the important parameters in grinding operation are surface roughness of the workpiece and the amount of consumed energy. These parameters are strongly affected by the condition of grinding wheel surface which is dependent on the dressing parameters. Predicting the roughness of the grinding wheel surface after dressing with known dressing parameters can improve the grinding process. Resea...
